Florence

Florence lives with her family in the Eastern Province of Kenya.  She has three sisters and two brothers and both her parents are still living.  They are extremely poor with an annual income of less than NZ$200 earned through casual work.  Her birth date is 22 June 1999 which is exactly the same as our daughter Baje.

The family have very poor living conditions, unable to provide a healthy diet, clothing, medical care or basic schooling for Florence.

Since we have started sponsoring Florence her health has improved, through access to healthy food & clean water and also access to proper medical care.  She has started school and the family has one goat.  We have received numerous letters from her mother about Florence and the family and each letter is more positive than the last.  All the letters have a page of beautiful drawings attached that Florence has done for us.  We also received a beautiful homemade xmas card last year made by Florence.
