Welcome to the Charman Family Website!

This particular branch of the Charman family arrived in New Zealand in 1961 when Arthur & Evelyn Charman made the decision to migrate to the country, from England.

They arrived in summer at the start of 1961 with 6 children; Alan, aged 22 months, three brothers and two sisters, aged between 8 and eighteen.

Alan is currently married to Rhonda. They have two children, Baje & Kaed, while Alan has another son from a previous marriage, Dane. Liam is Dane's best friend, who also lived with us for a year in 2006/7.

Each of the children have their own pages at the links below, while Patrick, Florence, Sylus, Sialo and Kosiantet are children living in poverty in Kenya whom they sponsor through ChildFund New Zealand, either personally or through the company.
